Miami Valley Child Development Centers selected this 38,000 SF former home improvement store for its capability to accommodate a large number of students. The renovation incorporated eighteen classrooms designed in pods of two that share restrooms, storage, and staff support. With its residential finishes and muralists applied hallway motifs, the center has a “home away from home” atmosphere. Thirty-one windows were added to the exterior, and an old one-room schoolhouse facade embraces the main entrance.
